Commitee Meeting 11/07/06 Here's a brief summary: 1) 60th Anniversary do Agreed on the venue and the date - Novotel on 28th October. capacity of 180. tickets to be sold on 1st come, 1st served basis. Expected cost £20 - £25 per head for 3 courses. Cost of comedian, disco, live band and guest speaker to be met through sponsorship. Wives, girlfriends, boyfriends are welcome. 2) Annual membership subscriptions Agreed on annual fee (Sept - Sept) to become official member of club. Playing members (inc committee and coaches) = £15 per annum Non-playing members = £5 per annum being a member will award following privileges: eligible to train with and play for club priority on tickets for 60th eligible to attend club tour eligible to use club's beer fund I have been appointed membership sec so will be responsible for collecting monies, issuing cards and maintaining register. Need someone (Jase?) to design template membership cards for 2006/07 season and I will then pass to Colin Gard to obtain quotes. Just need club emblem, applicable year, playing/non playing member, reference number etc The subscription is required from all existing players by 1st Saturday in September to allow you to play. Would like to set-up an online form on the website so that people can contact us if they wish to become members. 3) Club Newsletter In order to attract sponsors and players, club will aim to produce a periodical professional-looking newsletter and send to all members + perhaps local businesses. I will draft a template during the next few days so that I can show the format to the committee but may need some help with providing content. The newsletter may be available to download as a pdf from the website (via a members section only perhaps?) Content would cover - recent results & report(s), upcoming fixtures, player profile, pictures, mini section, update on 60th/tour etc, sponsorship, players selected for district, upcoming birthdays, some stats - tries, points etc. As I said, I will need your help with the content, and once the committee agrees with the generic format, I may ask Genghis nicely (qualified marketing and all that) to take on the project in future. This would tie-in with a "Press Officer" type role. 4) AOB From next season, all the weekend's results will (according to Kenny Khan) be emailed to info@ciacs.co.uk on the Sunday/Monday so that we can keep in touch with league positions rather than relying on Echo. Committee provisionally agreed to meet the cost of a coach to Haverfordwest for the friendly - subject to confirmation of cost. Other possible friendlies lined up - Dinas Powys and Old Penarthians. 5) Date of Next Meeting = Tuesday 3 August 2006.
