CIAC's AGM 12th July 2007 Meeting minutes. Chairman - Franklin Parris Apologies for Absense: Aled Edwards, Phillip John, Kenny Trotman, Kaid Hassan, Kareem Hassan, James Davies,Kevin Evans. 3. Season Summary 2006/2007 Larry Ford Summarised the season, reflecting particulary on the slump after Christmas, including how trainhing numbers dropped considerably as the season went on, and he felt the early exit from the cups didnt help. 4. Season 2007/2008 Elections Elections for the forthcoming season were as follows : 1st Team Captain - Rhodri Jenkins Vice Capt - (still to be selected by R.J) Social Committe Social Secretary - Shane Bottcher Social Committe Members - Rhiche Llewellyn (Box Kick) and Rhodri Davies. The new social positions will look to improve the social aspect of the club including holding future events and fundraising activites. 5. Training And Coaching Arragements Larry Ford mentioend how offical pre-season had started oin Tue 10th July and there were good numbers present. The suggestion of Thursday sessions was aslo mooted but this was eventually dropped as previous attemps did not get enough people turning up. 6. Club Equipment Larry Ford mentiond that a new lockup will soon be with us, and he also requested that the club buy new balls. As a new member of teh Social committee Richie Box Kick questioned that if any money was raied would it go back into faclilities and equipment. The Chairman guaranteed that it would. 7.Club Tour 2008 Everyone was in favour of a Club tour for 2008, the will be arranged by the social Commitee, either directly or by the appoinmnet of a seperate Tour Commitee. 8. Mini Rugby Franklin gave a breakdown of the current situation, and suggested that it would be a good idea for any of the senior players to help out at any time if they ever had chance. It was also mentioned that the club should try and get the mini's to come and watch the senior team play to build a rapport within the club. It was also confirmed that Mini rugby training will begin on Wed 25th July and will be every Wednesday until they return to Schol in Sept when it will return to a Sunday. 9. AOB Joe Kahn brought up the subject of turning up early on the saturday only to waste time sitting around the Bue Dock while the opposition team was out on our field training. Everyone agreed that the current policy needed to be changed and that the team should be out on the field as early as possible in order to warm up and prepare. It was agreed that as of next season the team will be out on the field at least 30 mins before Kick Off, this will be co-ordinated by Coach and Captain.
